Mint keffyieh

My beautiful mint keffiyeh arrived. It's beautiful! It took a long time to be shipped and i had to pay taxes on top of the price because it came from the UK and I am in the EU...So, it ended up being way more expensive. When you order yours, keep this in mind. Still, I think it was worth every euro. Oh, and it has an embroidered map of palestine!

How does an instant hijab work?

An instant hijab is sewn into its finished shape, so there is nothing to wrap or fold. The FeatherLite goes over her head in one movement: the soft undercap grips gently underneath and the georgette layer falls into place over it. There are no pins anywhere.

What age does it fit?

One size fits ages 5 to 16. The stretch undercap does the sizing, so there is nothing to adjust as she grows.

Is it see-through?

No. The undercap underneath is fully opaque, so the light georgette layer on top can be airy without ever showing hair or skin through it.

Can she put it on herself?

Yes. It goes on like a hood, over the head in one movement, with no fastenings and nothing to line up, so she does not need help with it.

Is it too warm for a classroom?

The outer layer is a feather-light georgette and the under layer is thin and breathable, so it wears light indoors. It is noticeably lighter than a wrapped scarf worn over a separate undercap.

How do you wash it?
